Platform Access, Supplier Information, Due Diligence and Transaction Safety
Last Updated: 15/10/2026 | Version: 1.0
1. Purpose and Scope
AURA is an international trade platform designed to support supplier discovery, structured commercial opportunities, information exchange, and coordination between participants in cross-border transactions. These Trade Guidelines explain the principles governing the interpretation and use of information presented through AURA, including Atlas Discovery, supplier profiles, export market authorizations, commercial requests, and related activities.
AURA provides tools and information to support commercial decision-making. However, access to the platform, inclusion in the Supplier Atlas, or participation in an AURA-supported process does not eliminate the risks inherent in international trade. Users remain responsible for evaluating the suitability, reliability, legality, and commercial conditions of their transactions.
These Guidelines should be read together with AURA's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
2. Platform Access and Request Eligibility
Eligible registered members may access commercial opportunities and supplier information made available to their respective account profiles and access levels. Viewing a supplier, product, or commercial opportunity does not automatically authorize a member to submit requests, engage a counterparty, or access restricted information.
Only importers whose accounts have been validated and authorized by AURA may submit sourcing requests through the platform.
Brokers, exporters, and other authorized profiles may access specific features according to their assigned permissions, including the registration of commercial opportunities, referrals, or product information where applicable. AURA reserves the right to review, request additional information, restrict, suspend, or decline access or submissions in accordance with its applicable policies and Terms of Use.
3. Supplier Information and Company Verification
Supplier profiles may contain company information, trade names, entity classifications, product categories, market information, and other commercial data obtained from official sources, participating companies, or authorized contributors. AURA may conduct documentary, registration, or other verification checks within a defined scope.
However, a company verification status does not constitute a guarantee of financial capacity, creditworthiness, product availability, production capacity, regulatory compliance, delivery performance, or successful completion of a transaction. Verification results reflect the information and checks available at the relevant time and may require further review when circumstances change.
Users should independently confirm the identity, authority, commercial standing, and operational capabilities of any counterparty before entering into a binding agreement.
4. Export Market Authorizations — MAPA/SIF
For Brazilian products of animal origin subject to federal inspection, AURA may display information regarding export market eligibility or establishment authorizations obtained from official sources maintained or published by Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), including information associated with the Federal Inspection Service (SIF).
Such information may relate to particular establishments, product categories, approved activities, destination countries, and other applicable sanitary or regulatory requirements. Export eligibility and authorizations are subject to modification, suspension, renewal, scope limitations, and changes in the requirements of destination countries.
The inclusion of a country under an establishment's enabled markets does not, by itself, guarantee that every product, shipment, or transaction involving that establishment is authorized for export to that destination. Users must verify the current requirements and applicable authorizations directly with the relevant official authorities and supporting documentation before committing to a transaction.
For commodities or products outside the MAPA/SIF framework, different competent authorities, certificates, licenses, and regulatory requirements may apply. If there is uncertainty or an apparent discrepancy, users should contact AURA Support for clarification and independently confirm the applicable official information.
5. Independent Due Diligence and Commercial Risk
International trade involves commercial, operational, financial, documentary, regulatory, logistical, and counterparty risks. AURA does not eliminate these risks and does not replace professional, legal, banking, insurance, inspection, or other specialized advisory services.
Before entering into a transaction, each participant should undertake due diligence appropriate to the nature, value, destination, and contractual structure of the proposed operation. This may include reviewing:
-
Company registration, identity, and representative authority;
-
Product specifications, availability, production capacity, and origin;
-
Applicable licenses, certificates, and market authorizations;
-
Commercial offers, pricing, delivery schedules, and Incoterms;
-
Contractual documents, payment instruments, and banking details;
-
Inspection requirements, logistics, insurance, and shipment documentation;
-
Relevant legal, customs, sanctions, and regulatory requirements.
No supplier listing, document, verification indicator, quotation, or communication through AURA should be treated as a substitute for an independent commercial assessment.
6. Direct Commercial Negotiations and Product Payments
Commercial negotiations, contractual obligations, and payments relating to products and merchandise are conducted directly between the contracting parties, under the terms they independently agree upon. AURA does not process, request, receive, or collect payments for products, merchandise, or trade orders through the Atlas Discovery platform.
No AURA team member is authorized to request product-related payments, deposits, shipment payments, or transfers on behalf of a buyer or seller through the platform. Users should exercise particular caution when receiving unexpected payment instructions, requests to change beneficiary accounts, or communications claiming to represent AURA or an existing counterparty.
Any suspicious payment instruction should be independently verified through previously established and trusted communication channels before funds are transferred. Any separately contracted AURA platform subscription or professional service fees, where applicable, are distinct from merchandise payments and are subject to their own documented terms and authorized billing procedures.
AURA's participation in facilitating introductions, information exchange, or commercial coordination does not, by itself, make AURA a party to a product sale or purchase contract.
7. Commercial Information and Opportunity Status
Commercial opportunities, offers, supplier listings, and requests displayed on AURA may be preliminary, indicative, subject to confirmation, or dependent on additional documentary and operational validation. Their publication or submission does not constitute acceptance of an offer, confirmation of inventory, reservation of production capacity, or a binding contractual commitment.
Prices, volumes, specifications, timelines, and other conditions may change until formally agreed upon by the contracting parties.
Where AURA reviews or qualifies an opportunity, such review relates to the applicable platform process and does not guarantee the transaction's completion or commercial outcome.
Users should rely on properly authorized and executed contractual documentation to establish their binding obligations.
8. Reporting Discrepancies and Suspicious Activity
Users are encouraged to promptly report suspected inaccuracies, expired authorizations, misleading supplier information, inconsistent documentation, unauthorized representations, or suspicious payment requests. If a discrepancy is identified, users should refrain from relying on the disputed information until it has been appropriately clarified.
Reports may be submitted through AURA's official Support channels and should include the relevant supplier, opportunity, reference number, or supporting information where available. AURA may review reported information, request clarification, update or restrict records, or take other appropriate measures in accordance with its policies.
Submitting a report does not guarantee a particular finding, timeframe, or commercial resolution.
9. Information Updates and Availability
AURA may update supplier records, market information, verification indicators, and platform functionalities as new information becomes available. Information obtained from third-party or official sources may be subject to publication delays, incomplete records, subsequent changes, or differences in scope.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, information displayed on the platform should not be interpreted as continuously monitored or verified in real time. Users are responsible for checking the currency, relevance, and applicability of critical information before relying on it for commercial decisions.
10. User Responsibilities and Confidentiality
Users must provide accurate information to the best of their knowledge, act within their legal authority, and use the platform for legitimate commercial purposes. Information received through AURA must be handled in accordance with applicable confidentiality commitments, contractual restrictions, privacy obligations, and the platform's Terms of Use.
Users must not misrepresent their identity or authority, submit knowingly misleading documentation, misuse restricted commercial information, or represent that AURA has approved a transaction when no such approval has been provided.
11. Guidelines, Terms, and Updates
These Guidelines are intended to support informed use of AURA and explain important operational and commercial safety principles. They do not replace the platform's Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, or any separately executed agreement between relevant parties.
In the event of an inconsistency involving binding contractual obligations, the applicable agreements and mandatory law will govern, subject to their respective terms and legal requirements.
AURA may revise these Guidelines to reflect changes in platform operations, regulatory requirements, or safety procedures.
Material changes may be communicated through the platform and may require renewed acknowledgment by registered members.
